‘Big Money Live’ will take place twice a day seven days a week. Buzz Bingo presenters will host the game from its studio in Derby, with coverage streamed online and in its clubs.

The operator said the new game is the result of years of development and investment. Buzz worked with Playtech and its ECM Systems division to create the offering for both digital and retail bingo platforms.

Big Money Live will officially launch this Thursday (24 October). The first game will feature a pool worth £100,000 (€119,948/$129,896), which the operator said is the UK’s largest omni-channel bingo prize pot and a record full house prize for Buzz Bingo.

Exciting new phase for bingo

Speaking about the new game, Buzz chief product officer Dave Evans said Big Money Live represents an exciting new phase for bingo in the UK.

“We’ve invested in innovation and technology to establish Buzz Bingo as the nation’s number one choice for bingo.” Evans said. “The launch of Big Money Live marks the beginning of a new and exciting phase in bingo.

“The game will reach more player and bring bigger prizes to the table.”

Buzz head of bingo Richard Kearns also welcomed the launch. He said it will help draw more players to both online and retail bingo across the UK.

“The launch of Big Money Live marks the culmination of a huge amount of collaboration between our partners, presenters, engineers, IT, marketing and operations,” he said.

“This new concept represents what Buzz does best: innovating to bring cutting-edge bingo experiences to as many people as possible.”

Next step for Buzz Bingo

The launch takes place towards the end of what has been a year of change for Buzz.

In May, the operator revealed it was relocating its digital business to Gibraltar. At the time, Buzz said this offers greater proximity to key suppliers, a platform to pursue international opportunities and supports its omni-channel growth plans.

The relocation came as Buzz also set out plans to grow its UK retail network. The operator said it was in talks to acquire two bingo clubs – Cricklewood in London and Northampton – from Merkur.

Both deals have since gone through, with Buzz clubs now open at both locations.
