Operators in Denmark are only permitted to promote the winnings of slot machines if they are no more than DKK600 (£69.0/€80.7), however Spillemyndigheden has been made aware of slot machines which advertise winnings which exceed this limit.

Advertising slot games to have winnings in excess of DDK600 is a breach of the Danish Gaming Act, and a violation of the consumer protection code of conduct established in 2019.

A Spillemyndigheden statement said: “The marketing of games must present the chance of winning in a correct and balanced way so that an impression is not created that the chance of winning is greater than it actually is.

“If winnings in excess of DKK600 are advertised, it must be made clear in the marketing material that the chance of winning this prize is through several games.”

This follows a recent ruling by the regulator which stipulates that all bonuses must be made available for at least 60 days.
