The reopening guidelines for The Star Sydney were announced on 9 September.
The Star Sydney reopened yesterday (11 October), to staff and guests who are fully vaccinated.
It had been closed from 25 June.
The capacity is limited to one person per four squared metres indoors, and one person per two square metres outdoors.
In addition, mask wearing in mandatory and patrons must be seated when eating or drinking indoors.
The seated requirement is set to be lifted one week after the state of New South Wales clears the 80% double dose vaccination deadline, which is projected to be on the 18th or 25th of October 2021.
From 1 December, capacity is expected to be increased to one person per 2 squared metres, but masks will continue to be mandatory for front-of-house staff.
The Star also announced that operating restrictions for The Star Queensland properties were eased from 4pm on 8 October.
As part of the reopening, capacity was raised to one person per two squared metres and masks were to remain mandatory indoors.
Yesterday, The Star responded to reports including allegations of money laundering, calling the claims “misleading”. The New South Wales Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority is currently undertaking a regular review of The Star Sydney.
