The owner and operator of locals-oriented casinos in Nevada completed the previously announced acquisition from Affinity Interactive and its affiliates. Financial terms of the transaction, agreed in March 2023, were not disclosed.
Rail City has approximately 24,000sq ft of gaming space with over 400 slot machines, a keno lounge and dining. The addition of the Sparks-based property means Reno-headquartered Truckee now has over 2,600 slot machines across its portfolio.
Affinity CEO Andrei Scrivens said the business is focused on its seven properties, Daily Racing Form and new investment opportunities.
“Rail City has been a beloved local establishment for decades and AI has delivered on its mission to provide value, entertainment and variety to its customers,” Scrivens said.
“We thank all the employees for their valued contributions and wish them the best of luck under Truckee Gaming’s stewardship.
“For AI, with a sharpened focus on our remaining gaming properties, we believe our business is well positioned for continued success. We remain committed to pursuing other compelling investment opportunities that align with our growth strategy and where we can provide customers with innovative gaming experiences.”
Nevada saw slots decline in September
The completion of the deal comes after Nevada saw a decline in slots revenue in September. However, overall gambling revenue was up 1.6% year-on-year to $1.27bn.
Slots were again the primary source of revenue in Nevada, generating $814.6m during the month of September. However, this was 5.1% less than in the same month last year.
