The sites banned include 1xslot.com, bet2casino.fun, betmatch2win.com, betwinner6.com and kasinos-vip.net.

“The specified websites provide access to gambling games from the territory of Ukraine without the corresponding KRAIL license, which is a gross violation of the current legislation in the field of gambling,” the regulator said.

KRAIL has blocked almost 3,000 illegal sites this year as it seeks to curb problem gambling in the country. Blocked sites were given three days to comply with the order to shut down operations in Ukraine.

Ukraine self-exclusion registrations continue to rise steadily

Meanwhile KRAIL noted submissions to its national self-exclusion scheme had increase 7% in August as 557 players registered between July and August.

Data showed that 5,269 people had registered since the beginning of the year and the total number of self-excluded players as of 1 August was 8,431. Registrations stood at 7,874 on 1 July.

The regulator said the register acted as an important mechanism to prevent gaming addiction in the country.

The meeting also discussed online scams, where local players are invited to use illegal sites. Deposits are then transferred elsewhere and players have to pay a fee to retrieve their money.

When the player has made the payment, the site flags their activity as fraudulent and they are forced to pay an additional fine.

KRAIL urged players to check whether online operators are licensed before playing with them.
