After KRAIL officials have revealed the identity of those conducting gaming activities in the country without the proper licence, the regulator will give the operator three working days to cease its operations by sending an email directly to the website owner.

Failure to comply will see KRAIL write directly to the hosting server, which must then order the offending operator to cease activities.

The regulator will also be allowed to post the operator’s details on its website and make them public as a blacklisted entity.

Any further non-compliance in ceasing activities will see KRAIL raise the issue to law enforcement.

A KRAIL statement said: The conduction of online gambling should be carried out on the basis of the proper licence being issued in accordance with the requirements of the law.

Operators should adhere to the agreed upon licencing conditions in the field of online gambling, using the appropriate online organisation systems, and exclusively through websites which have been specifically registered, and with a mandatory connection to the state’s online monitoring system.”

KRAIL first published the country’s responsible gambling regulations back in September.
