etway South Africa has signed an agreement with South Africa Rugby, becoming an ‘associate partner’ of the national team the Springboks. The partnership represents a step further in Betway’s expansion in the African market, where it also entered Tanzania.
Under the terms of the agreement, Betway’s logo will appear on the perimeter branding on the field at home test matches, as well as on the Springboks’ shorts, for the next three seasons.
Jurie Roux, CEO of South Africa Rugby, said: “This new partnership will enable us to work together in bringing our passionate fans even closer to the game.”
He added: “We are excited to be partnering with Betway as this will stretch beyond the four white lines of a rugby field. Betway has some exciting new initiatives that will be announced in due course as part of the new partnership, and we are excited to see what the future holds.”

Betway has also partnered with Cricket South Africa in an agreement that has seen the operator sponsor the T20 Challenge tournament, which will be branded as the Betway T20 Challenge.
Betway debuts in Tanzania
Additionally, Betway has also made its way into the Tanzanian market, as it has launched in the country featuring a wide variety of sports, a host of different betting markets, a Live Betting system, and eSports. The sports betting firm stated that it has also localized the banking options to suit Tanzanian fans.

Betway is one of the giants in sports betting hence their decision to come to Tanzania is a good sign to us that we are making a step and they are willing to push us further,” reports IPP Media.
Betway is currently either licensed or licenses the use of its brand to local operating companies in 12 countries, including Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique, and Nigeria.
