s announced by the Las Vegas Review Journal on Thursday, the McCarran International Airport has passed the 4 million passenger mark in July. Said number gets it closer to its pre-pandemic numbers.
Last month there were 4.15 million people arriving and departing, according to figures provided by the Clark County Department of Aviation.
In June, more than 3.8 million flyers were recorded, and only 7.9% less than the registered amount in July 2019.
Domestic travel was down from pre pandemic levels, as current numbers show that 4.02 million domestic flyers came into the city in July this year, compared to nearly 4.08 million in the same period two years ago.
International travel still remains lagging, with only about 64,000 flyers, a drop of more than 80% than 2019’s numbers.
So far, there have been more than 20 million passengers flying through McCarran this year, down 32.5% in 2019.
