ard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City announced on Wednesday Donna Ward as its new Vice President of Sales.
By assuming this role, Ward will be in charge of overseeing the resort’s hotel sales operations, including meetings and conventions. The casino boasts over 150,000-square feet of meeting and event space.
Prior to joining Hard Rock Atlantic City, Ward spent more than 35 years in sales roles throughout Atlantic City, including Harrah’s, the former Trump Organization and Resorts Casino Hotel. Most recently, she was VP of Sales, Catering and Convention Services at Golden Nugget.
Ward has also been a volunteer with the Miss America pageant since 1987, and currently serves as Chairwoman on their Board of Trustees. She is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University.
“Hard Rock Atlantic City is thrilled to welcome Donna to our team,” said Joe Lupo, Property President. “Her commitment to bringing the best meetings and conventions to Hard Rock will not only be invaluable to our property but will also elevate the Atlantic City market as a whole.”
This is not Hard Rock Atlantic City’s only appointment in 2021. Earlier this year, the venue also welcomed Ray Stefanelli as Vice President of Online Gaming and former Borgata executive Michael Woodside as Vice President of Entertainment and Marketing services, both in July.
That same month, the casino celebrated its third anniversary with a concert, a rock ‘n’ roll-themed parade, and $30,000 in donations to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Covenant House, and Turning Point Day Center.
Set on 17 acres, with the Atlantic City Boardwalk as its backdrop, the music-inspired venue features a gaming floor that offers 2,250 slots, 120 table games, and dedicated sportsbook. It further boasts more than fifteen food and beverage offerings.
In September, Hard Rock Atlantic City posted $48.6 million in revenue, up nearly 36% versus 2020. It placed second after The Borgata, Atlantic City’s perennial market leader, which won more than $111 million from gamblers that month.
