Stockholm-based iGaming hosting provider Internet Vikings is expanding its presence in the US, the company announced last Friday. The business has officially confirmed the start of its operations in Indiana, its latest state.

The new market launch is set to help the company further extend its footprint across the North American iGaming landscape, with the company having already attained licensing and established a sound base of customers “in a variety of other progressive and well-regulated states,” a press release explains.

“It is just wonderful to see how the U.S. is responding to our innovative offerings,” commented Kristoffer Ottosson, Internet Vikings’ Head of Hosting Services. “As we have moved across the States, we have quickly acquired customers and had amazing results.”

“Internet Vikings have no doubt that their arrival in Indiana heralds yet another bright star on our unfolding path towards helping the industry to grow and find solid ground,” the company said in an official statement. The business is “sure to raise the game” by supporting all industry-related companies seeking “to get their game on in Indiana.”

Indiana’s gambling industry has recognized the value of iGaming as a lucrative endeavor these last years, the Swedish business notes, leading to three categories of regulated licensing: certificate holders, vendors and service providers. Authorized operators now include online sports betting as well.

In an effort to capitalize on these opportunities, a proprietary data center in Indiana went live in Q4 last year. As part of its strategy for the North American market, and with no license required to operate in the state, Internet Vikings have now followed this by commencing its hosting service operations, which include a suite of bespoke solutions for industry-related businesses.

“All that we want, all that we strive for, year after year, is to assist others in recognizing and embracing the blossoming world of online gaming,” stated Internet Vikings’ co-founder and CCO Rickard Vikström. “We are really happy to have taken another step across America and Indiana is certainly another significant milestone on this journey.”

The company says it has “no intention of slowing down” on its expansion strategy for the US market, with plans in place to extend its operations “on every regulated state, one at a time.” This applies not only to the US but also Canada, where Internet Vikings also has a data center in Ontario.

In January this year, the hosting service provider announced the commencement of operations in Illinois, at the time its 18th state in which it had established a presence. Upon announcement, the company said it already had two clients in the state.

“As a business, we are both proud and very eager to see how rapidly we are keeping up our rate of expansion in the United States,” the company’s head of U.S. Expansion, Elena Kvakov, said in January. “We have no intention of slowing our pace until we have secured a base in all of the 21 states where iGaming has been legalized.”
