The 23rd annual AGEM & AGA Golf Classic Presented by JCM Global has been scheduled for May 11, 2022, at Cascata Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The fundraising event benefits the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) and its mission to advance research, education, and awareness for responsible gaming.

Registration for the Golf Classic is now open, and sponsorships and player positions are available on a first-come/first-sold basis, according to a press release. For more information on these opportunities, interested parties can visit the event’s site for details. According to organizers, the event is “shaping up to be an un-fore-gettable day.”

The ICRG was founded in 1996 as a charitable organization and, since then, has supported research projects cited nearly 30,000 times in scientific literature. Its President, Art Paikowsky, describes the golf classic as “a mainstay for the ICRG.”

According to Paikowsky, the event enables the center “to support ground-breaking research” that results in effective treatment and prevention, while also providing the industry with the tools necessary for conducting responsible gambling strategies.

It has been our honor to present the Golf Classic for the last 23 years and to shine a spotlight on the ICRG’s impactful research into important topics like sports wagering, lottery, and more,” said SVP of Sales, Marketing & Operations Dave Kubajak for automated transaction solutions company JCM Global. “We are grateful to the gaming industry for their generous support, and we invite everyone to participate again this year.”

The Golf Classic attracts players and sponsors from across the gaming industry spectrum, according to a press release. Its major sponsors include gaming trade bodies Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) and the American Gaming Association (AGA). It is also sponsored by JCM Global

The event has been conducted on an annual basis, although the 2020 edition was suspended amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Its 20th-anniversary edition raised $228,000 for the ICRG and, to date, the Golf Classic has raised more than $2 million in support of the center.
