In an exclusive interview with Yogonet, Alan Burak, vice-president of Monografie, talked about the event that will be held next week in Buenos Aires, renewing the industry’s traditional formula to offer a new paradigm for in-person exhibitions, both in Argentina as well as in the rest of the region.

“We are very excited about the arrival of SAGSE Latam,” said the executive in a conversation with Yogonet, “because it was months of hard work and restructuring of schemes and organization. We understood, during the pandemic, that many things had to be improved and that the very model of events had changed, making it necessary to relaunch our proposal in order to adjust it to the needs of the industry. In this analysis, we found that the main needs of executives and entrepreneurs in the sector were the improvement of investment, the concentration of public and meetings in a more limited and effective time, the promotion of networking as the central concept of each and every show, and the refinement of the visiting public, with the aim of having only high-level buyers and executives attend SAGSE“.

“We have been working for more than a year to perfect this model, alongside our other digital proposals, and in a way, we ran a pilot test with SAGSE Miami, a meeting that combined all these characteristics and left both sponsors and exhibitors very satisfied with the event. Therefore, in Buenos Aires, we are going to replicate this model, but with a larger event, an equally refined but broader gathering, and in a different setting: the exclusive Hilton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center“, the executive explained.

When asked about the response received from the participating companies, Burak said: “Every new proposal has risks and opens up uncertainties, but the support from the companies was much greater than we expected for this first edition in Buenos Aires. It was important for Monografie, as a company, to offer the 30th edition of SAGSE that honors its history, and that at the same time could mirror this change in an effective and professional manner. Today I can say, with just slightly more than a week to go before the opening ceremony, that we achieved this goal with a very high and exclusive event base, a sold-out show that generated a lot of anxiety in the industry, which in the last two weeks did not stop communicating with our offices to accredit their respective attendees. In addition, the low number of cases and the very controlled epidemiological situation allow us to anticipate an attractive and very safe event for everyone. We are very pleased, anxious, and looking forward to March 30 to experience SAGSE’s reencounter with the entire industry”.

As for the future, although Burak did not confirm dates or venues, he assured that “we will take this model to other places because we understand that it is the proposal that the industry demands today, and understanding that needs is now our main driving force. Very soon we will announce other events, and we will work to reinforce our goal of being a synonym for industry events in Latin America”.
