Via its Lucky Days brand, L7 Entertainment announced Friday it has gone live in Sweden following regulatory approval, powered by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG)‘s platform.
Whilst already present in Sweden, the announcement is the latest of a trend of operators who have chosen GiG to help them launch in new markets. “Supported by a wealth of experience, the solutions available provide opportunities for brands to expand through an existing wide regulated offering”, the company explained.
There are currently 13 supported markets, the Canadian province Ontario having joined the list most recently, with US states New Jersey and Pennsylvania expected to be added soon.
From an online casino perspective, Sweden has continued to grow post-regulation. According to H2 Gambling Data, the turnover in this vertical grew by 17% between 2020 and 2021, and is predicting a similar year-over-year growth for the forseeable future. “The driving factors behind this confidence is the combination of a safer environment for players steering an increase in onshore revenue”, GiG stated.
In an official press release, Martin Collins, Director of Sales and Business Development at GiG, spoke about this new launch and said: “At GiG we pride ourselves in being the chosen platform of choice for regulated markets. We have been operating in Sweden from day one and continue to serve the market on behalf of many of our clients’ brands. The addition of Lucky Days further widens our footprint and highlights the ever growing trend to embrace regulation and deliver a safer, more compelling experience for the customer.”
A spokesperson at L7 added: “After working on this project for a long time it’s finally come through and we’re delighted that we have the license ahead of the summer. This wouldn’t be possible without the hard work done by both GiG and the L7 team and serves as a great testament to the cooperation between the two companies.”
GiG announced earlier this week the approval of its supplier license for the Ontario iGaming and sports betting market, allowing it to partner with operators based in the newly regulated Canadian province. Having opened as recently as April 2022, the registration marks ‘an early entry for GiG.’ This new development will allow it to serve a market expected to grow to $6 billion in gross gaming revenue over the next three years.
The brand also formalized Thursday the head of terms agreement signed in late April with tier 1 UK retail operator Aspers Group for a platform and managed services partnership deal. The turnkey solution includes the technical platform, fully managed services, frontend development, CRM and marketing, all powered by GiG’s data and GiG Logic rules-based products. GiG will provide the fully managed solution to operating the online casino as phase one with expansion into further verticals planned for the second phase of the partnership.
