GLI Africa announced Tuesday it is further expanding the services offered to sports betting clients in the continent as part of GLI’s Integrated Compliance Solutions, adding two new fields.

Having maintained its SANAS accreditation for Testing and Calibration Services (ISO/IEC 17025) and Inspection Services (ISO/IEC 17020) for over 20 years, GLI Africa has now been accredited for Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments under ISO17025, providing clients with a complete end-to-end service.

Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) testing is compulsory for sports betting operators in South Africa under the requirements of the SANS1718 Part 4 Technical Standard and requires their products to undergo penetration testing and vulnerability assessments by an accredited test laboratory within 90 days of go-live, and every 12 months thereafter.

The introduction of the two new services is a part of GLI’s overall Integrated Compliance Solutions approach, which has been designed to support clients on every step of their compliance and testing journey.

Devon Dalbock, General Manager of GLI Africa spoke in an official press release and explained: “The priority for GLI Africa is to simplify the complexity of compliance and testing for our clients and be able to take them through the process step by step, whether they are an established organisation or an up-and-coming start-up”.

“For our clients to succeed, they need to comply with their regulatory and technical obligations, and by utilising the global expertise of GLI and GLI’s Integrated Compliance Solutions, we can help our clients get to market faster while meeting all the necessary requirements“, he added.

“In today’s world, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments are essential for our clients in providing peace of mind knowing their products are secure in a world where hacking is more prevalent, and data breaches can be devastating to a business. Within the GLI Group companies we have Bulletproof Solutions who have global expertise in this sector and can deliver tailored solutions to our clients”, he concluded.

GLI is recognized by accreditation bodies worldwide for accreditations to ISO standards for testing (ISO/IEC 17025), field inspections (ISO/IEC 17020), product certification (ISO/IEC 17065), and certification of information systems management systems (ISO/IEC 17021). This global scope of accreditations allows GLI the flexibility to serve our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In late June, GLI Africa announced that it has reached a landmark milestone with 100 employees now based in the company’s South Africa office to support customers in the continent and across the globe. In the previous 12 months alone, GLI Africa has hired a further 58 employees to “keep up with customer demand for testing and certification” from GLI’s team of experts.
