International trade group Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) has issued an update on two upcoming industry events: the Emerging Leaders of Gaming (ELG) 40 Under 40 program, maintained by two AGEM Associate Members —The Innovation Group and Global Gaming Business magazine; and the Business Insight Seminars hosted by AGEM Associate Member JP Morgan Chase.

The deadline for nominations to the ELG’s 40 Under 40 is quickly approaching, with submissions due August 15. Individuals can be self-nominated or nominated by a peer here. ELG’s program recognizes individuals in gaming organizations under the age of 40 who have contributed “above and beyond expectations.”

ELG was created to support young executives “on the path to industry leadership through education, networking and other career development opportunities,” a press release explains. As part of this program, members of the industry are annually invited to nominate themselves or someone else for the ELG 40 Under 40, honoring 40 rising stars of gaming under age 40

Individuals named to the ELG 40 Under 40 will be profiled in Global Gaming Business magazine, recognized at a ceremony during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), and benefit “from other future opportunities available through the ELG network.”

As for the Business Insight Seminars hosted by JP Morgan Chase, the event series has returned after a hiatus with a seminar on September 16, 2022, at the JW Marriott Las Vegas. Interested parties can see the full schedule for the event and register here.

“Businesses of all sizes and stages have had to pivot, recenter and refocus (often multiple times) throughout this pandemic, and as we move toward our new normal, there are many lessons to be learned and shared,” a flyer for the event explains. “We’re excited to be back live and in-person this year and hope you’ll join us for networking, lunch and an educational presentation by our keynote speaker.”

The “Outthink the Competition” keynote session features business strategy speaker and author Dr. Kaihan Krippendorff. During the event, Krippendorff will explain to assistants what is the “Fourth Option,” an idea “to potentially grow and transform your business, and get the tools you need to work on implementing it immediately.”

Additionally, the expert will tackle the importance of learning a repeatable process to keep ideas aligned to business strategy flowing, sorted and prioritized for value creation. Also of importance when “outthinking the competition” is reaching clarity, having confidence in and being able to articulate a business’ growth strategy “clearly.”

AGEM is a non-profit that represents manufacturers and suppliers of electronic gaming devices, systems, lotteries, table games and components for the gaming industry. The association works to further the interests of suppliers at an international level.
