Clarion Gaming shared on Thursday its assessment of the recently held G2E Las Vegas expo. Managing Director Stuart Hunter argued that a strong G2E is positive for everyone involved in the global industry and that it augurs well for February’s edition of ICE London, which is expected to see the return of gaming’s major supplier brands to the show floor.
Reflecting on a week packed with partner meetings, as well as the ICE London Symposium, Hunter said: “It was uplifting to experience G2E back to its pre-pandemic best and to feel the sense of energy that only a live event can deliver. The fact that Clarion Gaming took a significant entourage to G2E in order to meet key business objectives speaks volumes for the power, influence, and benefits of in-person events.”
“We had a great G2E and the feedback from everyone we spoke to was that they were delighted to be back on a busy show floor and that they were already preparing for London in February. A successful G2E represents great news for the global industry and after Vegas, all roads lead to London and ICE!” the Director noted.
Clarion’s ICE Symposium, held at Top Golf Las Vegas, followed the same format as the summer event staged at Les Ambassadeurs Casino in Mayfair, London in conjunction with the European Casino Association.
Utilizing the Open Space model to create an agenda that reflects the issues that are really important to the participants and their businesses, the key topics to come out of the Symposium centered on talent acquisition and retention, adapting the US regulatory model created for land-based gaming to meet the requirements of new technologies and verticals, funding growth in a recession, how to improve the payments experience and the pros and cons of cashless for land-based casinos.
“We all experienced the vibrancy and the engagement delivered by G2E and our congratulations go to the organizing team for putting on such an encouraging and optimistic event,” Hunter added. “Those qualities will be magnified for us next February when we welcome all sectors of the international industry back for a full-scale edition of ICE London. 2023 is on course to be the biggest and most significant edition of ICE on record and one that’s not to be missed.”
