As the gambling industry enters its post-Covid era, with a promising rebound in place in many jurisdictions all over the world, Yogonet caught up with Vladimir Dokov, CEO of global gaming products supplier EGT to discuss what to expect of the sector in the near future.
Additionally, in this exclusive interview, Dokov shares his assessment of 2022, reflecting on the company’s main achievements in what can only be described as a busy year for the supplier, which throughout the past 12 months expanded its presence in several jurisdictions worlwide, attended a number of exhibitions and summits; and furthered its commitment to iGaming.
What is your assessment of how the sector developed in 2022? What was the year like for EGT?
The COVID pandemic affected the gaming industry as it did to many other businesses. The most serious problem our sector faced during the period of the restrictions was supply delays. EGT avoided it to a large extent thanks to the fact that our company has managed to close almost completely its 360-degree production cycle, which means that we produce a big part of the components for our machines, and this helped us to deal with the situation much easier. This, of course, had a positive effect on our annual results – in 2022 we registered a 100% increase in revenue in comparison to 2021.
The trend towards intensive development of iGaming, which was further stimulated by the COVID restrictions, kept on being leading in 2022. I am happy to say that our subsidiary EGT Digital is developing at a high pace and is constantly offering innovative and competitive products, thanks to which in a short period of time the company has established itself as one of the preferred online gaming providers.
This year also marked a general return of in-person industry events all over the world. What are your main takeaways from the events EGT attended in 2022?
We are very glad to have the opportunity to meet our customers and partners in person again. I think that’s the best way to showcase our new developments, get valuable feedback on our products and services, and show our clients how important they are to us.
In 2022 we have taken part in quite a few exhibitions and are very pleased with our performance in each one of them as we have been able to close many deals, expand our existing partnerships as well as start brand new ones.

Our products and services are currently presented in more than 100 markets all over the world and our aspiration is to continue to grow and enter new markets. One of our essential goals for the next year will be the opening of several new offices in different regions of the world.
The other main focus will be to enrich our portfolio with iGaming products and strengthen our leadership positions in this field.
What should we expect from EGT in 2023? Are there any further new plans or announcements you could share with us?
As I mentioned before, we will be concentrating on developing highly-potential online gaming solutions, as well as opening new offices in order to be closer to our customers and provide them with the best service they deserve. We will strive for both horizontal and vertical growth.
We will participate in numerous exhibitions as well, the first one will be ICE London 2023 on the first days of February.
