iGaming platform provider and operator Soft2Bet announced Wednesday that it has obtained a Romanian license, a “first-class” permit issued by the local regulator ONJN. The license allows Soft2Bet to organize and operate games of chance in Romania, including casino and sportsbook offerings.
Through this achievement, Soft2Bet is poised to establish its presence in what it describes as “one of the fastest-growing markets within the EU,” a statement released on the news noted.
By expanding its portfolio of services, Soft2Bet aims to cater to a broader demographic. The Romanian market, known for its “comprehensive” regulations and transparent operational environment, has exhibited remarkable growth in recent years, the company added.
Thus, securing this license represents what Soft2Bet calls “an exciting opportunity” to deliver innovative and secure gaming experiences to Romanian consumers. This milestone follows Soft2Bet’s most recent regulatory expansion, the procurement of a Greek operating license and Swedish B2B licenses.
Soft2Bet’s General Counsel, David Yatom, remarked: “We consider the Romanian market as one of the pivotal markets for establishing our foothold in Eastern Europe.”

With SGA, DGA, IE, GR, RO and MGA licenses also in its current portfolio, and more on the way, Soft2bet supports more than 10 projects, including CampoBet, YoyoCasino, LightCasino and ZulaBet as well as gamification-heavy installments like Cadabrus and Betinia.
