The Arts District in Las Vegas will soon have a dedicated LGBTQ+ boutique hotel and entertainment property. Named Queen Las Vegas, the property will feature a hotel, restaurant, gaming lounge, and nightclub.

The midcentury modern-style property is set to open at 1215 Las Vegas Blvd. South, near the Arts District, in September, Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. The property is being launched by Q Group Hospitality and hotelier Eduardo Cordova, creator of The Garden Las Vegas, one of Las Vegas’ most popular gay bars.

The new project will feature a 24/7 restaurant and bar with drag performances and a massive disco ball DJ booth. The nightclub will showcase nightly aerial acts, a state-of-the-art laser system, and floor-to-ceiling LED lights. Q Hospitality hasn’t provided yet specifics on the scope of Queen Las Vegas’ gaming lounge.

“It has been my mission to create a vibrant and inclusive entertainment district for our LGBTQ+ community, and I’m thrilled to announce that Q Hospitality Group has secured a prime location on the iconic Las Vegas Strip to create the Gayest destination in Las Vegas,” Cordova said in a statement.

Queen Las Vegas will operate as a hotel partner with 28 themed rooms and communal areas, renovating some of the rooms in the 75-year-old building currently housing the Thunderbird Hotel. Thunderbird will continue to operate with its 72 remaining rooms. The hotel will feature tech-savvy hospitality elements such as self-serve check-in kiosks, and the suites will have direct VIP access to the bar and nightclub.

The suite bookings will be available in the fall after the grand opening celebration. Queen Las Vegas is hosting an on-site hiring event from 2-5 p.m. Friday for all positions.
