Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort Casino has disclosed its slot revenue figures for August 2023, amounting to a total of $31 million. As per the long-standing agreement between the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the State of Connecticut, this translates to a direct payment of $7.9 million to the state.

This financial contribution is part of a commitment by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to share part of the proceeds of Foxwoods’ slot revenue with the state. Since the inception of this agreement in 1993, the Tribe has deposited over $4.5 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue into Connecticut’s budget fund.

August also marked a milestone for Foxwoods with the opening of the Pequot Woodlands Casino to the public on August 29.
