GAME Greece is set to take off in a month of time in Athens, taking place from 19 – 20 October 2023. The event comes as the Greek iGaming market is on a trajectory of expansion, with a projected value set to reach $1.28 billion (€1.2 billion) by the year 2025.
This growth is underpinned by a striking Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 14%. Tasos Belesis, Senior Consultant in Lotteries & Gambling and a speaker at GAME Greece, has reported a surge in Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of over 26% from 2021 to 2022, with further growth anticipated in 2023.
Additionally, the surge in mobile gaming is undeniable, with 60% of Greek iGaming enthusiasts now favoring mobile devices to access iGaming products and services, underscoring the growing popularity of mobile in the country.
The Greek iGaming market, legalized by Law 4726/2020 in July 2021, offers significant opportunities for businesses “that prioritize innovation and responsible gaming,” say GAME Greece organizers.
GAME Greece chairperson Viktoria Soltesz’s opening address is described as a “prime opportunity” to gain insider knowledge about the future of iGaming in the region.
Viktoria Soltesz, CEO at PSP Angels, stated: “Networking, meeting new people and hearing new industry gossip and ideas. Eventus International events always have an amazing crowd and very valuable content.”
Megan Easey, Operational Excellence Partner, noted: “Looking forward to attending a well-curated, focused event, with a balanced view on customer acquisition and retention strategies amidst a landscape of regulatory requirements.”
For those seeking marketing strategies in the era of iGaming, the event will offer a panel on boosting customer engagement and retention. It is billed as an opportunity to gain “invaluable insights” from a panel of seasoned experts who are at the forefront of the gaming industry.
“GAME 23 provides a boutique opportunity for influential leaders in iGaming to come together and share insights that are key to growth and innovation in our ever-changing industry,” said Sasha Boerma, Head of Affiliates at Coastline Gaming.
NascentEdge, Elite Executive, and NovaMotus will act as integral partners of the event. Meanwhile, sponsors and exhibitors of the summit, include Playbetr, Sportradar, Aviatrix and EI Networking. The full speaker lineup can be consulted here.
