The Malta Gaming Authority notified AMGO iGaming Malta Limited that its license has been canceled due to violations of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.
AMGO iGaming’s license has been revoked over a series of breaches, including failure to pay the Authority the total annual license fee covering the period between November 2022 to November 2023. The balance of €13,915.12 remains to date outstanding, noted the regulator. The licensee has also failed to pay applicable compliance contribution fees due to the Authority.
The MGA also stated it has “reason to believe” that AMGO iGaming has failed to meet commitments to players in a timely manner, or that such failure is “imminent.” Because of all these reasons, the Authority is requesting the licensee to show cause within 20 days as to why its authorization should not be canceled. Additionally, the regulator is also directing the business to settle all outstanding dues.
“Should the Authorised Person fail to exercise such above-mentioned right within the stipulated period and fail to regularize its position according to the applicable law, the Authority shall proceed accordingly with the identified enforcement measure,” the MGA said in a statement.
“The Authority reserves the right to take any other measures pertinent to it at law in relation to the outstanding dues that the Authorised Person owes its players as well as the Authority, should AMGO iGaming Malta Ltd fail to rectify this accordingly.”
Earlier this week, the Malta Gaming Authority also confirmed the cancellation of the authorization for Arabmillionaire Limited. The development came after the company failed to address breaches uncovered by the regulator, despite being given time to rectify its operations.
