US casino giant Caesars Entertainment has achieved a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index for the sixteenth consecutive year.
According to the company, this recognition underscores Caesars’ dedication to fostering LGBTQ+ workplace equality and positions the company as one of the ‘Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality’ in the gaming landscape.
Heather Rapp, Senior Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for Caesars Entertainment, emphasized the company’s commitment to equality, stating: “Representation and inclusivity are essential to us at Caesars Entertainment, which is why we were the first to launch an employee resource group for LGBTQ+ Team Members and allies in the industry, among many other initiatives.”
“To continue to receive a perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation further exemplifies our commitment and leadership in the space and motivates us to continue to improve for our LGBTQ+ Team Members and allies.”
The Corporate Equality Index is a comprehensive assessment of corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. It is a survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, evaluating corporate inclusivity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals.
Caesars Entertainment stated that it has been at the forefront of public policy and advocacy concerning LGBTQ+ rights for years, including engagement in relationship recognition and anti-discrimination advocacy on both state and federal levels. Caesars was the first gaming company to achieve a perfect score in this index.
In a press release, the casino giant added that Caesars stands as one of the primary corporate and Foundation backers of the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada, fostering a supportive environment and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community.
Further, the company partners with certified LGBTQ+ suppliers and collaborates closely with the National LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, creating industry ties and economic support within the LGBTQ+ community.
Moreover, supporting The Trevor Project’s mission, Caesars collaborates with the organization to deliver workforce training aimed at cultivating safer and more supportive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals.
The company has also been acknowledged as one of America’s 50 Most Community-Minded Companies by Points of Light, achieving a perfect score on the Disability Equality Index for Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion, and has been listed among Newsweek’s America’s Most Responsible Companies 2023 and America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2023, among others.
