Maksym Liashko has resigned from his role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Parimatch and Managing Partner of Energame, the group’s management company.Energame said that its board accepted the resignation of Liashko earlier this week during a shareholder meeting. He has been with Parimatch for seven years.
Liashko served as a partner of the company from March 2016 to April 2021 and went on to become co-CEO in April 2021. He was appointed CEO of Parimatch Group in April 2022, following a strategic review of the business owing to the complications of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Earlier in January, Liashko became the managing partner of Energame when the company was formed. Structural changes to Parimatch Group saw the formation of Energame, which gave way to it becoming CIS gambling group’s new operating company. In March, Parimatch was amongst 287 betting companies ordered to shut down by an executive decree of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
Before joining Parimatch, Liashko worked in law and spent time as a legal advisor and lawyer. He also served as the head of the legal department at KP Media.
Concluding its update, Energame noted: “Parimatch will in the meantime be managed directly by relevant corporate boards supported by a cadre of capable and long-standing senior staff that enjoy the full confidence of the shareholders.
“All of the group’s companies continue operating as normal while the shareholders have initiated a search for the new CEO to lead the group and continue to deliver an outstanding level of services to customers and partners worldwide.”
