Sandia Resort and Casino in New Mexico has announced an extension of its operating hours with the arrival of the new year. The casino will now be open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 AM, seven days a week.

The new closing time will allow visitors to stay longer at the casino. While its weekday operations have been extended by four hours, weekend operating hours have been extended by two hours each day.

Before the extension, Sandia Resort and Casino was open until 12:00 AM Monday through Thursday and until 2:00 AM Friday through Sunday.

As per the casino, its attendance, demand, and staffing numbers are back to pre-pandemic levels. “We are thrilled to provide our extraordinary service now until 4:00 AM every day. There will be a lot more announcements coming soon, so stay tuned,” the casino said in a statement.

Sandia Resort and Casino is the first Indian casino in New Mexico

The Sandia Resort and Casino first opened in 1994 and has undergone extensive developments to its property aimed at providing an all-inclusive and luxurious experience for visitors. Owned and operated by the Pueblo of Sandia, it was the very first Indian casino in New Mexico at its opening. Now there are approximately 25 tribal casinos in the state, including Sandia.

The Vegas-style casino floor encompasses 140,000 square feet. The hotel was added in 2005, and the property underwent another expansion in 2014 to add the golf pavilion and parking garage.

The Pueblo of Sandia is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in central New Mexico and adjacent to Albuquerque. It employs over 2,000 residents of the Albuquerque area including both Indians and non-Indians and makes significant contributions to the state economy in the way of salaries, goods, and services purchased.
