The Koi Nation of Northern California (Koi Nation) has garnered widespread backing from various sectors for its Shiloh Resort & Casino project in Sonoma County. The coalition backing the project includes a multitude of significant entities ranging from public agencies to former elected officials and tribal governments.

This endorsement arrives as the Koi Nation anticipates the United States Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Indian Affairs’ (BIA) decision on the Environmental Assessment (EA) of their proposed project. Following a 60-day public review period initiated by the BIA’s Notice of Availability for the EA, the tribe awaits official approval.
Dino Beltran, Vice Chairman of the Koi Nation’s Tribal Council, highlighted the importance of mutual advocacy among tribal governments and expressed hope for further support, especially from the tribal entities that have yet to voice their backing.
The Shiloh Resort & Casino is envisioned as a cornerstone for the economic growth of the Koi Nation, aiming to provide a sustainable future for its citizens. Built on acquired land after decades of displacement, the resort is slated to house a 400-room hotel, entertainment venues, and diverse gaming options.
It aims to not only create jobs and income for the tribe but also extend economic benefits to the local community.
