International Game Technology (IGT) announced that its Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks slots awarded two significant jackpots in December, totaling $2.77 million.
On December 11, an online Powerbucks slots player won CA$2 million ($1.52 million), the third-largest jackpot in the history of the product, playing Gong Xi Fa Cai in Ontario, Canada.
On December 23, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1.25 million playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s at the recently opened Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Nevada.
IGT Powerbucks slots have paid 52 jackpots of $1 million or more since their Canadian debut in 2016. Wheel of Fortune slots have minted over 1,100 millionaires and awarded over $3.5 billion in jackpots since launch in 1996, the company said.
Wheel of Fortune and Megabucks slots awarded three major jackpots in October, totaling over $14 million in prizes. Additionally, Megabucks awarded its second-largest jackpot of 2023 during the month, at a Las Vegas Strip casino.
