Las Vegas Strip’s Venetian Resort is expanding its poker room this summer. The new room will be situated on Level 2 of the resort, covering 14,000 square feet with 50 tables, making it the largest poker room in Las Vegas.
This expansion aims to cater to the growing demand for poker games and tournaments among visitors to the city. The decision to relocate the poker room to Level 2 is strategic, placing it closer to popular attractions like the Grand Canal Shoppes and The Palazzo self-parking garage.
The move is expected to enhance accessibility and convenience for patrons, making it easier for them to access the poker room from various parts of the resort. The new poker room will also feature a self-serve soda fountain and coffee machine, dedicated restrooms, TVs throughout the room and USB and USB-C charging ports at every seat.
One notable feature of the new poker room is the inclusion of a dedicated streaming facility. This will enable players to coordinate vlogging sessions and stream tournament final tables and cash games.
Danny Ruiz, Chief Gaming Officer at The Venetian, said: “The expansion of the poker room is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts of reimagining the gaming experience at The Venetian Resort. The room was designed to provide an elevated playing experience and everything from design details to enhancements were made with the players in mind.”
Since its establishment in 2006, the Venetian Poker Room has been a popular destination for both cash games and tournaments. It has hosted events like the Venetian DeepStack series, as well as World Poker Tour (WPT) and Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) events.
Tommy LaRosa, Director of Poker Operations at Venetian, said: “We’re making an investment in our players and curating the amenities based on their feedback. We can’t wait to unveil the new room this summer and show why the Venetian Poker Room is and continues to provide an unparalleled poker experience.”
“It’s going to be a completely different look and a completely different feel,” LaRosa told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “It’s going to be modern, it’s going to be clean, and it’s just going to be unique. It’s going to be a one-of-a-kind space.”
