Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee has announced the opening date of its permanent sportsbook and its poker room. Scheduled for Friday, May 3, 2024, these new additions mark the culmination of the casino’s $190 million renovation project, which has been in progress since September 2023. The two new hotspots will be found on the first floor of the casino, in the former Northern Lights Theater area.

The Poker Room will offer 14 tables featuring a variety of games, including 1-3 No Limit, 2-5 No Limit, and Pot Limit Omaha (PLO). Alongside regular gameplay, patrons can look forward to special promotions such as Hourly High Hand Jackpots and Bad Beat Jackpot. Moreover, the Poker Room will share food and beverage services with the adjacent sportsbook.
Spanning 6,500 square feet across two floors and a seating capacity for over 200 patrons, the Potawatomi Sportsbook will boast a state-of-the-art setup, including a 2,000-square-foot LED screen centerpiece and over 20 TVs. Kiosks and ticket writers will be accessible to all casino guests.
Sean Cullen, the Sportsbook Director, remarked: “There is not a retail betting space outside of Las Vegas that can compete with the high-end venue we’re unveiling on May 3. With the 75 kiosks we currently have, we are number two in the country for gross gaming revenue of publicly reporting sportsbooks. We believe our new retail sports betting venue will make us a top travel destination in the Midwest.”
In addition to its sports betting environment, the Potawatomi Sportsbook will offer a diverse range of food and beverage options, including a selection of forty-eight beers on tap.
The May 3 openings mark the final phase of the casino’s extensive renovation project, which was first announced in May 2022. In addition to the sportsbook and poker room, the multi-year endeavor has brought forth enhancements to the first floor, including the Potawatomi Marketplace food hall.
Moreover, the second floor has been reimagined to accommodate various dining and entertainment options, such as Rock & Brews, Cream City Coffee Co., and The 1833 Club for VIPs, among others.
