International Game Technology (IGT) announced Thursday that its Wheel of Fortune and MegaJackpots slots awarded a trio of million-dollar-plus jackpots in April.
On April 4, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,794,169 playing Wheel of Fortune Double Diamond at the Nugget Casino Resort in Reno, Nevada while another player won $1,106,270 on April 11 playing Wheel of Fortune Diamond Spins 2X Wilds at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
On April 19, an online MegaJackpots slots player won $1,108,315 playing MegaJackpots JungleTower on FanDuel Casino in Michigan.
The Wheel of Fortune slot is inspired by the popular Wheel of Fortune TV program, which reaches more than 25 million weekly viewers. Trademarked as America’s Game, it has earned seven Emmy Awards including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
Wheel of Fortune slots have minted over 1,100 millionaires and awarded over $3.5 billion in jackpots since their launch in 1996, the company said.
In March, Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks slots awarded four million-dollar-plus jackpots, totaling more than $5 million. Lucky slots players won the following million-dollar-plus jackpots that month:
- On March 8, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,254,996 playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.
- On March 12, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,635,694 playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin Megatower at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in Nevada.
- On March 22, a Powerbucks slots player won CAD1,485,994 ($1.08 million) playing Wheel of Fortune Lucky Coins On Stage at Chances Casino Kelowna in British Columbia, Canada.
- On March 30, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,172,262 playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s at the California Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
IGT Powerbucks slots have paid 56 jackpots of $1 million or more since their Canadian debut in 2016.
