The organizers of Peru Gaming Show 2024 (PGS 2024) confirmed the topics and the exhibitors of its next cycle of two days of academic conferences, where the regulatory frameworks of different Latin American countries will be discussed, with a special focus on the online sector.

The event, which will take place on June 12 – 13 at the Jockey Exhibition Center in Lima, will discuss in its first day the different aspects of the regulation of gambling in Peru, both in the land-based sector as well as in the iGaming sector.

The presentations will be made by the General Director of Casino Games and Slot Machines, Yuri Guerra; the President of the National Gaming Society (SONAJA), Fernando Calderón; the President of the Peruvian Sports Betting Association (APADELA), Gonzalo Rosell; and the President of the Peruvian Gaming Association (APEJA), lawyer Constante Traverso.

For his part, the lawyer and partner of MF Estudio & Abogados Tomás García Botta will make a comparative analysis between the regulations applied in Argentina regarding the case of Peru. In addition, Neil Montgomery will speak about the online regulation of the Brazilian market, and Rony Vexelman from Optimove will talk about the role of Artificial Intelligence in iGaming.

The second day of the conference cycle will once again deal with the impact of online regulation in Peru in a round table integrated by regulator Yuri Guerra and the CEO of Apuesta Total, Gonzalo Pérez, under the moderation of lawyer Carlos Fonseca. The challenges of the affiliation system in Peru and the rest of Latin America will also be addressed in another conference moderated by Wintech’s CEO, Gustavo Sanchez.

Furthermore, Karen Sierra from GLI will speak on Sustainable Gaming in the region, while Juan Camilo Carrasco, partner of Asensi & Abogados, will discuss the regulation of the Colombian market. In addition, Sebastián Salazar from Prontopaga will address payment methods and Hugo LLanos from Altenar will speak about the relationship between suppliers and operators.

The organizers of the event emphasized that, for this edition, they have called upon “the most experienced professionals in the industry to transmit knowledge in a unique event”, characterized by “the implementation of reforms to regulate and formalize the gaming market.”
