Speakers in this session will share ideas on how to implement automatization and discuss key points to take into account when jumping from the land-based sector to the online realm, including new technologies, cybersecurity, and regional regulations.

These two panels will be followed by the “Unity in regulation: Gambling law across Latin America” session, which explores the potential of greater cross-border regulatory alignment in Latin America.

The panel features Juan Camilo Carrasco (Partner, Asensi Abogados), Martín García Santillán (President, Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, LOTBA), Carlos Fonseca Sarmiento (CEO, Gaming Law) as speakers, and will be moderated by Karen Sierra-Hughes (Vice President, Latin America Caribbean & Spain, GLI).

Experts in this session will analyze regulatory patterns across established and nascent markets, in addition to exploring collaboration as a means to ensure operators and regulators smoothly navigate gambling legislation.

The last panel in the Leaders Track will be “The expansion of safe gambling in Latin America: the role of technological innovation”, which highlights the key role that technology can play in promoting responsible gambling initiatives in the region.

Experts participating in this session include Cristhian Cardenas (Compliance Director Latam, RushBet) and Elizabeth Maya Cano (President of CORNAZAR), who will discuss the importance of public education on problem gambling and the implementation of advanced protective measures for players.

Moreover, the panel will explore the evolution of regulatory policies in the region and discuss the collaborative efforts within the industry to foster a safe gambling environment.
