The Venetian Resort has opened the largest poker room on the Las Vegas Strip, a 14,000-square-foot facility named The Poker Room.
The venue features 50 live dealer tables, each equipped with USB and USB-C charging ports. Additional amenities include a self-service beverage station, dedicated restrooms, and kiosks for the casino’s loyalty card program and sports betting, Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

“We want to create a destination that every poker player must play at and everybody in Las Vegas is going to want to play on a daily basis,” Tommy LaRosa, director of poker operations at The Venetian, was quoted as saying in the report.
Located on the second floor of the Grand Canal Shoppes, The Poker Room’s opening ceremony included a ribbon-cutting event attended by celebrities and Venetian executives. Grammy-winning rapper Nelly and magician Shin Lim, who has a residency opening at The Palazzo Theatre in October, played the first ceremonial hand of poker alongside Patrick Nichols, Venetian president and CEO, and Rob Brimmer, the resort’s CFO.
Scott Blumstein, the 2017 World Series of Poker main event winner, was present at the inaugural table along with poker professionals Matt Berkey, Farah Galfond, Joey Ingram, and Jamie Kerstetter.
The event featured hors d’oeuvre and champagne for guests and invited Venetian Rewards members, with live entertainment provided by a DJ. Attendees signed commemorative playing cards to mark the occasion.
“This is a culmination of 19 years worth of work. I’m excited. I’m honored. I’m very appreciative of the leadership and the support that they’re giving us in poker. The things that they’ve invested in this room and the amenities that they put in for our players are second to none,” LaRosa said, as per the report.
The Poker Room will host cash games and the DeepStack poker tournament series. A streaming room will be added this year to facilitate player vlogging and enable the resort to stream tournament final tables and cash games.
