WarHorse Casino in Omaha has resumed operations after a brief closure caused by a cooling system malfunction. The casino, which first opened its doors on August 6, temporarily shut its doors on Thursday after its water-based cooling system was damaged during ongoing construction.
WarHorse Gaming announced the reopening early Friday morning, stating that the issue had been resolved in about eight hours. Crews were brought in to assess and repair the damaged system, allowing the casino to swiftly return to normal operations.
The casino took to social media to share the news, posting: “Great news! WarHorse Omaha has resolved the HVAC issue, and they are now open and ready to welcome you back! Thank you for your patience and support. Stop in and enjoy your favorite games soon!”
WarHorse Omaha, owned by Ho-Chunk Inc., the economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe, had just launched its first phase of operations earlier this month, featuring over 800 slot machines and several live table games.
