Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Tourism has pledged its full support for the SiGMA South Asia event, which is set to debut in Colombo in 2025. The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) officially endorsed the event, calling it a significant opportunity for the country’s tourism and gaming sectors.
In a letter of endorsement, Thisum Jayasuriya, Chairman of the SLCB, said: “The SLCB is in the view that SiGMA South Asia 2025 would be an extremely important event to Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau endorses the proposal to host the SiGMA South Asia Summit 2025 in Sri Lanka and pledge our fullest support to SiGMA South Asia to host the conferences in Sri Lanka.”
The inaugural SiGMA South Asia event is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 2, 2025, in Colombo. The event is expected to attract over 5,000 delegates from across the gaming industry, including government officials, regulators, and representatives from major gaming companies in South Asia.
The conference will feature more than 150 speakers and include participation from over 800 affiliates. The expo floor will showcase top firms from the region, providing opportunities for networking and business development.
Organizers are positioning the event as a premier gathering for the gaming industry, offering a platform for innovation, collaboration, and thought leadership in one of the world’s largest gaming regions.
SiGMA South Asia will be strategically aligned with the Affiliate World event in Bangkok, allowing participants to maximize their networking opportunities across the region. After attending the SiGMA event in Colombo, delegates can travel to Bangkok for the start of Affiliate World on December 4th.
