Sports betting and media company Betr has announced the rollout of its new peer-to-peer fantasy sports product, “Group Mode,” for Betr Picks. This launch coincides with the soft launch of the new Betr Sportsbook, both of which are timed strategically to align with the start of the NFL season.

“Group Mode” brings a peer-to-peer dynamic to the Betr Picks platform, allowing users to compete directly against one another rather than the house. This feature is now live in Florida and Massachusetts, with imminent expansions planned for Virginia, Arizona, Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Delaware.

Once fully deployed, Betr Picks, including “Group Mode,” will be operational in 33 states plus Washington, D.C., covering approximately 65% of the U.S. population.

The Betr Sportsbook, which has been introduced in a soft launch phase, is now live in Ohio and Virginia. Over the coming months, the sportsbook is expected to launch in Indiana and Maryland, where Betr already holds temporary sports wagering licenses. Additional launches are planned for Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Kentucky, pending regulatory approvals.

The newly launched Betr Sportsbook expands Betr’s offerings beyond its initial focus on microbetting, incorporating a wide array of betting options. These include Same Game Parlays (SGP), Same Game Parlays Plus (SGP+), player props, futures, exotics, and traditional betting markets such as moneyline, point spread, and over/unders, all available for both pre-match and in-play wagering.

The platform for the new sportsbook was developed using the Chameleon platform, acquired by Betr in May 2023 from Fans Unite. This acquisition has enabled Betr to broaden its technological capabilities and provide a more comprehensive betting experience to its users.
