The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has released a list of unauthorized websites, warning that it has no connection with them. The list is aimed at protecting consumers and maintaining the integrity of Malta’s gaming industry, the regulator said.
The URLs include www.rayvietnam.net, www.rbvn08.com, www.raybet03.com, www.ray097.com and www.ray40.com.
The MGA notes that any references to the Authority or claims of gaming licenses issued by the Maltese Authority on these websites are false and misleading. The declaration serves as a reminder to consumers about the importance of verifying the legitimacy of online gaming platforms before engaging with their services, MGA said in a statement.
“The gaming regulatory framework obliges authorized persons to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of consumers,” stated the MGA. It added that the activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated and do not provide the necessary safeguards “delineated by virtue of the framework, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers.”
To ensure safety and compliance, the MGA advises consumers to only utilize services provided by entities that have been verified and authorized by the Authority. A full list of legitimate MGA-licensed entities can be found on the MGA website.
In related news, the MGA introduced its new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) hub on its website, providing licensees with detailed information on ESG reporting.
The recently launched ESG landing page serves as a central hub for all things related to the Authority’s voluntary ESG Code of Good Practice. It aims to assist online gaming companies in aligning with best practices, thereby meeting the evolving expectations of stakeholders.
