Sports gaming and media company Underdog Fantasy has been ranked No. 15 on LinkedIn’s 2024 Top Startups list in the United States. This marks the second consecutive year the company has been included on the prestigious list, which recognizes startups for employment growth, engagement, job interest, and attraction of top talent.

Underdog Fantasy, founded in 2020, is the only sports gaming company to make the list this year, and the only one to be featured on the list since its founding. LinkedIn’s annual startup rankings are determined by data across four key metrics: employee growth, jobseeker interest, member engagement within the company and its employees, and incoming talent from LinkedIn’s Top Companies list.

“Underdog was founded with innovation at its core, and we have a relentless focus on one mission: build new products that make sports more fun for fans,” said Jeremy Levine, founder and CEO of Underdog Fantasy. “We are extremely proud of what we have built, and this recognition from LinkedIn is a testament to the work put in by everyone at Underdog.”

The company has experienced significant expansion in the past year, growing its fantasy sports offerings to 41 states and launching its first sports betting app in North Carolina, with plans to expand further.

In addition to gaming, Underdog has bolstered its media presence, now boasting the fifth-largest daily sports show in the U.S. The company recently secured a partnership with eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach Bill Belichick, further enhancing its media content network.
