The SBC Summit Lisbon 2024, one of the most important events for the gaming and betting industry, was held from September 24 to 26. The meeting brought together more than 25,000 professionals and about 450 speakers in a 100,000-square-meter space.

One of the protagonists of the event was Zitro Digital. Yogonet was able to chat with COO José Javier Martí about the company’s presence at SBC Lisbon, its position in the gaming market, and its plans for the future.

What can you tell us about the exhibition? Did it meet or exceed your initial expectations? 

The dimension of SBC Summit Lisbon denotes the exponential growth of the digital gaming business in the world, and the efficient organization of the physical space of the event among the different activities that make up the digital gaming ecosystem, made the event very easy for each visitor to find what they were looking for. The results for Zitro were overwhelmingly positive.

Today, Zitro Digital holds great prestige thanks to our company’s international expansion in the land-based markets, on which we build our increasingly important digital business. Operators from all over the world have come to visit our booth at SBC Summit Lisbon, knowing the success of our games, mainly in the Latin American and European markets.

One of Zitro Digital’s new highlights for this edition was the Fu Frog series. What can you tell us about it, and what are some of the other current Zitro highlights? 

Unlike the studios that create games purely for the digital market, at Zitro we distinguish ourselves by offering, in addition, those games that have proven their excellence in the land-based markets. Such is the case of the Fu Frog series, whose games are among the most successful games of the moment on several continents. Fu Frog combines elements of persistence, which anticipate the proximity of a bonus, with progressive jackpots, which are the hallmark of Zitro’s games. Both game mechanics are accompanied by graphics, animations, and sounds that make playing a Zitro game always an experience hard to compare.  

Zitro’s current game catalog offers the most complete collection of video bingo games in the market, as well as a growing range of video slots that echo the multiple successes of our company in the land-based market, adding specific features for the digital versions such as the Buy Bonus option.

SBC is one of the largest iGaming trade shows in the European market. What were some of the markets you targeted at this show?

At SBC Summit Lisbon, we welcomed customers from all continents, although Zitro Digital’s biggest market today is Latin America, and, in Europe, the Spanish market. However, we are about to launch our games in Portugal, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Serbia, as evidence of our will to build Zitro Digital’s presence in all European jurisdictions where online gaming is regulated.

Have you seen the presence of representatives from the LatAm region in the latest edition of the fair?

Indeed, we have received many clients from Latin America at the event, particularly from those jurisdictions where online gaming has been regulated and operating for some time, such as Mexico, the various Argentinean provinces, Uruguay or Paraguay, as well as clients interested in our games for their casinos in Peru, and, of course, in the promising market of Brazil.

As we approach the last quarter of the year, does Zitro Digital have any projects, plans, or new goals for the rest of 2024 that you can tell us more about?

In the last quarter of the year, we have several very important appointments: G2E Las Vegas, the SiGMA show in Malta, and the BEGE show in Bulgaria. G2E Las Vegas is a global event where Zitro Digital expects to welcome customers from all over the world, while our presence at the SiGMA Malta and BEGE events in Bulgaria is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the European market. At each of these events, Zitro Digital is also committed to presenting new games, which, we are sure, will add to the long list of successes of our digital division, such as Fu Pots Summer, Leprechaun’s Hideout, and Striker’s Fortune.
