Musselburgh Racecourse has confirmed that Virgin Bet will return as the title sponsor for two of its flagship events in 2025—New Year’s Day and Easter Saturday Racedays. These two events, integral to Musselburgh’s “Sensational 6” lineup of racedays, are expected to draw thousands of fans.

Scheduled for January 1, the New Year’s Day Raceday annually attracts over 6,000 spectators and will feature marquee races like the £40,000 ($51,913) Auld Reekie Handicap Chase and the £30,000 ($38,935) Hogmaneigh Hurdle. This event, featuring a program worth over £100,000, consistently sells out, making it a staple for racing enthusiasts across Scotland.

Later in the season, Virgin Bet will also headline the Easter Saturday Raceday on April 19, which includes the £100,000 ($129,783) Queen’s Cup and the Scottish Sprint Cup, regarded as one of the fastest races in the country.

The sponsorship from Virgin Bet will also see the involvement of LiveScore Bet, a brand under the LiveScore Group umbrella. In addition, the partnership will integrate WalkSafe, Virgin Bet’s Personal Safety Partner, into the event experience.

WalkSafe’s app, WalkSafe+, which launched in 2020, provides users with tools to map the safest routes and plan their journeys. Through this collaboration, attendees at both Virgin Bet-sponsored events will have access to safety information from WalkSafe.
