The Muscogee Nation has commenced construction on the Coweta Casino Hotel in Oklahoma, a $100 million development expected to significantly boost the local economy and create hundreds of jobs. Located at the southeast corner of 131st Street and Oklahoma 51, the 104,000-square-foot facility is projected to open in spring 2026.
The new complex will feature a 35,000-square-foot casino housing 750 state-of-the-art gaming machines, a 46-room hotel with amenities including a pool, fitness center, concierge services, and a meeting space capable of accommodating 150 guests, officials said.
The construction phase is expected to create substantial economic benefits for the Wagoner County area. Officials estimate that the project will support 501 jobs in the region, generating $22.6 million in income and a total economic impact of $132.5 million.
Once operational, the casino hotel is expected to provide long-term economic benefits, adding 250 direct jobs and supporting 346 additional roles across the local economy, resulting in a total of 596 jobs and contributing $27.5 million in new annual income.
Pat Crofts, CEO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises, said: “I think it will be a really nice addition for the city of Coweta, I think there will be a lot of (nearby) restaurants and coffee shops and those sorts of things that will be built.”
