The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) is set to launch the province’s first-ever retail sportsbook lounges, with new PROLINE-branded locations opening at casinos in Kelowna and Vancouver in early 2025.

Chances Casino Kelowna will debut B.C.’s first in-person sportsbook lounge with a sneak peek on Super Bowl Sunday, before its official public opening on Feb. 10. The lounge will feature a 25-foot screen, food and beverage options, and PROLINE betting terminals.

A second sportsbook lounge will open at Parq Casino in Vancouver in March, expanding BCLC’s retail sports betting presence.

The sportsbook lounge is not just for sports betting; it’s a go-to viewing destination for both regular gamedays and the biggest sporting events of the year, where B.C. sports fans and sports bettors can watch their favorite teams together,” a BCLC spokesperson told Canadian Gaming Business.

The new lounges are part of BCLC’s broader effort to modernize its sports betting offerings. More sportsbook lounges are planned for casinos across the province, though specific locations and timelines have yet to be announced.

The launch follows BCLC’s revamp of PROLINE, which replaced its Sports Action sportsbook last fall. The updated platform introduces fully digital bet slips, a broader range of bet types, and expanded betting markets, including local teams.

The lounges will also highlight BCLC’s in-play retail betting with dynamic odds, a first for a Canadian lottery, Brett Hanson, BCLC’s Manager of Retail Sports, said in September. The corporation confirmed that live odds have been available at PROLINE retail locations for several months.
