Barcelona set the stage for ICE 2025 earlier this month, with the premier gambling industry show bringing together leaders, innovators, and key stakeholders to the Spanish city for the first time, following a years-long tenure at ExCel London.

Among those attending the show was sportsbook and casino platform provider Digitain, which drew attention to its booth through a series of major events, including the presentation of its new slogan, “Built to Lead”, and an unmissable session featuring football legends Luis Figo, Iker Casillas, Michael Owen, and Michel Salgado.

As part of its coverage of the show, Yogonet held an exclusive interview with Juan Felipe Bravo, Business Development Manager Latam at Digitain, during the first day of ICE Barcelona.

What are your impressions of ICE’s relocation to Barcelona? How does it compare to the event’s previous editions in London?

Barcelona is a major convention hub, which makes it easy for operators and providers to attend and exhibit. We are positively surprised by what this new venue offers, particularly in terms of attendance — you can tell that the event keeps growing year after year. For that reason, attending ICE was a big for us as a company.

ICE is an event that has been very relevant for us as industry providers, bringing new major opportunities to the table, and this year is no exception. We can see that several operators have attended the show, answering the call of Barcelona. As for me, since my work relates to LatAm in particular, I can feel a bigger sense of proximity here in Spain, given the historical bonds between the two regions.

What are some of the major novelties being highlighted this time around, and what are those approaching the stand most interested in learning about?

We continue highlighting the advancements of Centrivo, which is one of the major platforms in the gaming industry. It not only offers complete autonomy to the operator but also supplies them with an unparalleled amount of features needed for long-term and sustained growth — which is ultimately the goal we seek in each partnership. The Centrivo platform provides operators full independence and tranquility given its robustness and is always at the front of what we present.

Sports betting is also another major theme, of course, not only for us but for operators as well. Attendees approach our booth to better understand how our betting products work, what’s new, and what we are doing as a company to evolve our betting suite. This year we are highlighting our native CRM and Bet Builder solutions.

Digitain takes its time to make sure that our solutions are of excellent quality. It has always been a major focus to provide superior services and this year that goal remains intact, be it in Latin America or other markets.

Is this emphasis on quality that has led the company to debut its new slogan — Built to Lead — at ICE Barcelona?

“Built to Lead” is more than a slogan. “Built to Lead” has been Digitain’s approach since the company’s inception. Our mission is to ensure that our partners are not just another company in the market, but making a difference and leading the specific segment in which they operate. That’s why we put so much emphasis on quality because in order to lead our clients need the best solutions available in the market.

For that reason, “Built to Lead” as a motto does a good job of capturing what the company is about. This is a vision that runs through the entire business, from the CEO to the individual workers who are part of Digitain. “Built to Lead” has come to stay because we are here to lead the market alongside our partners.

In our last interview with Digitain, Chief Revenue Officer Iain Hutchison said the company plans to establish a hub office in Latin America this year to strengthen its presence in this market. Can you tell us a bit more about your plans for the region?

Latin America is today a major market for Digitain on a global scale and we intend to be there alongside the region’s operators, accompanying them throughout each step of the process. In line with this, we are happy to announce that we are one of the first certified industry providers in Brazil, which fills us with immense pride. The Brazilian market is a major focus for us, and we already have major partners in the region.

What you said is correct: we plan to open a hub in Latin America this year. You’ll be learning more about this project in the coming months when we share more details about our plans for the new offices. The opening of the LatAm hub is further proof that Digitain’s commitment to the region is tangible and deliberate.

Having discussed the company’s regional plans, are there any major developments you could share with us regarding the product portfolio?

We are working on many things at the moment as part of our drive for constant innovation, just like we have done over the last few years. Many of these novelties are focused on the LatAm market, which as I said earlier is a major growth area for us, and we want to make sure our platform is up to what operators require.

We are constantly updating our sports betting portfolio. We are deepening, for instance, our focus on North American sports, which are of major interest in Central American countries as well. What we are bringing to this segment is very promising.
