The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise has appointed Daniele Chilton as the Chief Executive Officer of all five Desert Diamond Casinos in southern Arizona and Phoenix, effective February 21. Chilton is the first Tohono O’odham Nation tribal member to hold the position permanently, according to a press release.
“As a tribal member and long-time team member, I am committed to our mission of creating greater economic opportunity for the Tohono O’odham Nation and providing top-tier experiences for our guests,” she said.
Bringing over 30 years of gaming industry experience, Chilton previously served as Chief Operations Officer, where she oversaw operations at all five casinos and led nearly 4,000 team members. Her extensive career includes roles as General Manager and other key positions within the enterprise.
Chilton succeeds Mike Bean, who has led the organization since 2021, during which time Desert Diamond Casinos experienced significant growth, including the design, construction, and successful launch of the Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy.
