The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance announced that it has updated the list of companies authorized to operate fixed odds betting on a definitive basis, adding a total of 21 new permits.
According to the media BNLData, the new definitive authorizations, valid until December 31, 2029, include operators such as Betano, Bet365, Sportingbet, Betfair, BandBet, Vivasorte, Rivalo and others. As the same company can operate up to three domains per license, there are 37 sites with definitive licenses.
Moreover, the SPA indicated that each company met the requirements of the Ministry of Finance and paid a license fee of BRL 30 million ($5.2 million) to operate regularly.
Most of these sites had already obtained authorization to operate in Brazil temporarily. According to the Poder360 portal, the SPA secretary, Regis Dudena, indicated that they had received 23 new requests for authorization to operate regularly.
The 37 domains that have just been granted final authorization to operate in the country are:
