Virgin Las Vegas has announced the appointment of John Fechik as its new Senior Vice President of Marketing, bringing in a seasoned executive with extensive experience from his previous role at The Venetian hotel-casino. Fechik, who spent over 15 years at The Venetian in various positions, is set to lead all marketing strategies and initiatives for Virgin Las Vegas’ casino operations.
According to a statement released by Virgin Las Vegas, Fechik’s responsibilities will include driving growth and enhancing the guest experience. One of his first major tasks will be to oversee the rollout of the new player loyalty program, Cherry Rewards, which launched this month.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have John lead our casino marketing team as we enter this exciting new chapter for the property,” said Cliff Atkinson, President of Virgin Las Vegas. “His extensive experience and proven track record in casino marketing make him the perfect fit for our team.”
Fechik expressed enthusiasm about his new role, stating: “I am honored to join such a dynamic and forward-thinking property. I look forward to working with the talented team at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas to create unforgettable experiences for our guests and drive the casino’s success.”
Fechik’s appointment comes after a change in Virgin Las Vegas’ management structure last year. In 2024, the Mohegan Tribe ended its gaming operations agreement with the property.
Following this change, Atkinson and Chief Financial Officer Chad Konrad established C&C 4455, a new operating entity that now manages the hotel’s day-to-day operations. The Nevada Gaming Commission approved the new entity in December, with Atkinson serving as CEO and Konrad as CFO.
The Cherry Rewards program, a key focus of Fechik’s new role, aims to enhance customer loyalty by offering tailored incentives and promotions to frequent players.
