Ann Hoff, a veteran executive with MGM Resorts International, will retire on April 25 after more than three decades with the gaming giant, the company announced.
Hoff, who serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Bellagio and Park MGM, has been with MGM Resorts since 1990, rising through the ranks after starting in the company’s management associate program. Over the years, she has held leadership roles across multiple MGM properties, including the Mirage, Treasure Island, New York-New York, Excalibur, and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi.
MGM Resorts Chief Operating Officer Corey Sanders praised Hoff’s contributions, highlighting her impact on the company’s success and mentorship of future leaders in two separate internal memos accessed by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“It is hard to overstate the contributions Ann has made to the company over her long career,” Sanders said in an internal memo. “She is a testament to what is possible to accomplish at MGM Resorts, and her career has been an inspiration to so many of our colleagues who have followed her.”
In a separate memo to employees, Hoff described her decision to retire as a difficult one, citing deep personal and professional ties to the company.
“Leaving is certainly not easy. The relationships I have built are some of the most meaningful in my life, and this company has been my second home,” Hoff wrote. Speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Hoff expressed gratitude for her long tenure and excitement for the next phase of her life.
“I am profoundly grateful for a career that fulfilled my lifetime love of hospitality,” she said. “I’m looking forward to continuing my board service and experiencing new adventures in this next chapter.”
MGM Resorts has not yet named a successor to Hoff. A company spokesperson confirmed that she will remain in her role until April 25, 2025.
Hoff’s departure marks the end of an era for MGM Resorts, where she played a key role in shaping some of the Las Vegas Strip’s most recognizable casino-resort properties.
