The Bellagio in Las Vegas has been named the world’s best casino in a newly released ranking by Gambling.com.
Unlike other rankings that focus on size or the number of gaming tables, the list was based on several factors, including the quality of games, layout and ambience, dining options, hotel accommodations, entertainment offerings, and cultural importance.
The full list is as follows:
- 1. Bellagio, Las Vegas
- 2. Casino de Monte-Carlo, Monaco
- 3. The Venetian, Cotai, Macau
- 4. Grand Lisboa, Macau
- 5. Wynn-Encore, Las Vegas
- 6. The Hippodrome, London
- 7. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Florida
- 8. Kings Casino, Rozvadov, Czechia
- 9. Marina Sands Bay, Singapore
- 10. Casino De Venezia, Venice, Italy
The Bellagio, opened in 1998, remains one of the most iconic casinos in the world. Known for its famous fountains and luxurious décor, it gained international recognition as the setting for the 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven. Despite being over two decades old, the Bellagio continues to attract visitors with its elegance and top-tier gaming experience, which is why it placed first in the ranking.
Another Las Vegas property, Wynn-Encore, ranked fifth. Opened in 2005 and expanded in 2008, the combined resort offers nearly 5,000 hotel rooms, 183,000 square feet of gaming space, over 1,800 slot machines, more than 135 gaming tables, a 28-table poker room, and an expansive sportsbook.
The Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco also earned a spot on the list, as second. Opened in 1865, the casino is housed in a building designed by architect Charles Garnier and surrounded by manicured gardens. It has become one of the principality’s most famous landmarks, though local citizens of Monaco are prohibited from gambling there. Over the years, the Monte Carlo Casino has attracted numerous high-profile visitors, both real and fictional, including appearances in several James Bond films.
The Venetian Macau, with the largest gaming floor in the world, ranked third. It features over 800 gaming tables and recreates Venice’s charm with canals and gondolas. The Grand Lisboa in Macau comes in fourth, noted for its lotus flower-shaped glass exterior and historical connection to casino magnate Stanley Ho.
London’s Hippodrome Casino is sixth on the list. Located near Leicester Square, it reopened as a casino in 2012 after extensive renovations. It blends historic architecture with modern gaming.
At number seven, Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood stands out as one of the top casinos in the U.S. Opened in 2004 and operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the resort features 140,000 square feet of gaming space, 1,275 hotel rooms, lagoon-style pools, and its signature guitar-shaped hotel tower.
King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czechia, was also included, at number eight. Originally a small slots casino near the German border, it gained a reputation for hosting poker tournaments and eventually expanded into one of Europe’s leading poker venues. The resort has become a hub for serious players and major tournaments.
Moreover, the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore secured its place on the list as the ninth best casino due to its status as the most expensive standalone integrated resort ever built, costing nearly £7 billion. Opened in 2010, the resort includes 600 gaming tables, 2,300 slot machines, a 2,500-room hotel, and the world’s largest rooftop infinity pool located on the Sands SkyPark.
Lastly, the Casino di Venezia in Venice, Italy, rounded out the list. Considered one of the oldest casinos in the world, it is housed in a historic building on the Grand Canal. Visitors often arrive by gondola before entering the casino, which offers a traditional gaming experience in a setting steeped in history.
