Legends Bay Casino Resort has named Ben Douglass as its new general manager. Douglass, a Reno native and fourth-generation Nevadan, brings over 18 years of experience in hospitality and gaming.

He has held leadership roles at casinos in Nevada, Oregon, Colorado, and Indiana. Most recently, he was General Manager at KLA-MO-YA Casino, where he led efforts to improve operations, guest satisfaction, and profitability.

“I’m thrilled to return to Northern Nevada, the city where I grew up, and to join the incredible team at Legends Bay Casino,” said Douglass in a statement. “This community means the world to me, and I look forward to enhancing the guest experience, building upon our successes, and making Legends Bay Casino a premier destination for locals and visitors alike.”

DeCourcy Graham, Chief Operating Officer of Olympia Gaming, said Douglass’s experience and local ties make him the right choice. “Ben’s extensive experience, combined with his passion for this industry and deep connection to Reno/Sparks, makes him an invaluable addition to our team,” Graham pointed out.

Legends Bay Casino opened in 2022, the first new casino in Reno since 1995. Located at The Outlets at Legends, it spans 80,000 square feet. The 40,000-square-foot gaming floor features 660 slot machines, 10 table games, and a Circa Sports-operated sportsbook.

“Legends Bay Casino remains committed to providing exceptional gaming, dining, and entertainment experiences,” the casino said in a statement. “With Douglass at the helm, the property is poised to strengthen its role as a key player in the Reno-Sparks and Northern Nevada region.”
