International Game Technology (IGT) has reaffirmed its commitment to responsible gaming in Italy, securing the European Lotteries (EL) Responsible Gaming (RG) Certification for the sixth consecutive time.

Through an agreement between EL and the World Lottery Association (WLA), IGT’s Italian subsidiary, IGT Lottery, has also achieved WLA Responsible Gaming Certification Level 4, the highest level available.

The EL RG Certification promotes the adoption of responsible gaming best practices across EL member organizations, aligning with the WLA RG Principles and Framework. Meeting EL standards enables companies to qualify for WLA Level 4 certification, the gold standard for responsible gaming practices.

Marco Tasso, IGT COO, Italian and International Sales and Operations, said:  “IGT Lottery achieving responsible gaming recertification by EL for the sixth consecutive time, paired with the highest level of WLA certification, showcases our status as a true global leader in sustainability.

‘Advancing Responsibility’ is vital to our success as a lottery company, and central to our sustainability strategy. We will continue to deliver innovation while operating with the highest level of integrity to protect our people, products, and processes.”

IGT Lottery’s responsible gaming program is based on three key pillars:
• Promoting a positive approach to gaming
• Preventing underage gambling
Supporting players who need assistance

The recertification process involved an in-depth examination of IGT Lottery’s responsible gaming tools, activities, and processes in Italy. The company met 100% of the requirements across ten key areas, confirming full alignment with EL’s international standards for player protection.
